It’s certainly been hectic times since last summer, with many new works created and lots of side-projects initiated. For this post though, I’d like to invite you to an event of free booze, food and social networking – oh, and my newest works…

 “FEMALES volume II (with love and in death)” by Phil Barrington

Opening Event; Friday August 28th – 6.00pm to 8.00pm.

You (plus guests) are invited to the private viewing event of my latest series of fine art mixed-media photography – held at the stylish first-floor Hamburg Gallery in the historic Hanse House complex on the South Quay riverside of King’s Lynn.

My newest series is a set of affordably-priced bold mood prints that continue to concentrate on the female form in a variety of different situations, all featured characters expressing a range of emotions within a world of constant turmoil. From a parisian boudoir to the fields of wartime England, from foggy lands of dead trees to a mournful post-Raj India, this new selection of FEMALES ultimately reflects the dark side of our society which continuously attacks the vulnerable and innocent, depicting a wounded world view of murderous revenge, despair and slavery (with a dash of hope and dark humour).

There are rare gifts to give away to three lucky attendees at the event, with complimentary wine, food, music and more throughout the evening to make the experience very special indeed.

After this Private Viewing Event on Friday 28th August my exhibition runs for the majority of September, in two distinct phases;
Saturday 29th August – Wednesday 9th September
“Moon” Phase; spotlight lighting and ambient soundtrack against a dark gallery space.
Thursday 17th September – Saturday 26th September
“Sun” Phase; natural lighting of a quiet sunlit gallery.
Manned; 10am – 4pm, not open Sundays and Mondays.

PRIVATE VIEWING EVENT INVITE

FRIDAY 29th AUGUST 2014  ~ 6.00pm – 8.00pm

You are invited (plus guests) to the private viewing event of my latest series of fine art mixed-media photography – my first solo gallery exhibition in West Norfolk for five years – this time held at the stylish new Hamburg Gallery in the historic Hanse House complex on the beautiful South Quay riverside of King’s Lynn.

My new ‘FEMALES (in life & with death)’ series of framed prints are bold mood pieces that evoke feelings of sorrow, loss, mortality, madness, loneliness, sensuality – and even joy and surreal dark humour – with its doomed female characters.

There are absurdly rare prizes to give away to three lucky attendees at the event, with complimentary wine, food, music and more throughout the evening to make the experience very special indeed.

It’s been a few years since I’ve shown such a large amount of my work in East Angila and, with us all having ever-shorter memory spans these days, it feels like I’m starting from scratch in this area again – so if you can come along to the Private Viewing and support the event in any way it’d be music to my ears – and the drinks are on me!
