Forthcoming Books Featuring My Work

I am pleased to announce that, during Winter 2013, my photographic artwork will appear in two books, available for sale from that time.

Book #I; “Art Takes Times Square”

This will be a coffee-table art book “Art Takes Times Square”, a museum-quality publication from the USA that follows on from the recent New York public exhibition that my work was featured in;
“Our Editorial Committee has chosen one of Phil Barrington’s pieces to be featured in our upcoming museum-quality art book, “Art Takes Times Square”. Out of the tens of thousands of artists who entered the Art Takes Times Square contest, only a select few will appear in this publication. Phil Barrington’s work was among the best we saw, and we believe this special coffee-table book will be even better with his art included.”
Jeffrey Aldrich. Managing Editor, Artists Wanted New York.

Book #II; “Phil Barrington: A Collection of Rusted Dreams”

[draft cover design #1]

The second book will be called “Phil Barrington: A Collection of Rusted Dreams”, a limited edition and highly collectable book that will be the first retrospective publication featuring a broad uncensored selection of my photographic artworks.
The “Collection of Rusted Dreams” book will be available in two editions;

I. A paperback version with its own specific design and individually numbered edition.

II. A high-quality hardback book with its own particular design, dustcover. and its own ‘art elements’. An extremely limited edition.

The hardback book also comes with an exclusive download link for a hi-res pdf version of the book for portable devices.

Both editions come securely packaged, with accompanying signed letter. More details and images to follow soon.

Thank you all for your continued support,

PB.

Your Invite to a New York Art Opening Next Week (a VIP pass also up for grabs!)

Dear friends,

A BIG Thank You to those of you who came along to the recent Eastern Open 2012 Art exhibition in King’s Lynn to see my artwork from my current series of work, “An introduction to Grief and Joy“. The feedback was really kind and positive.

In one week’s time, on Monday June 18th, artworks from my latest series will be featured at the ‘Art Takes Times Square‘ billboard premiere in New York.

Nine of my Cracktown v2.0-era works (seen here), as well as superb works by other international artists will be displayed on bright LED screens (9ft x 12ft) located on Broadway and 43rd Street.

Working in concert with the Times Square Alliance and Chashama, Artists Wanted has produced this event which celebrates art in Times Square and the launch of See.Me – a new website connecting artists, photographers, designers, filmmakers and musicians to an international audience. With Art Takes Times Square, several of the most iconic video signs in Times Square will be made into an immense display of art.
If you are in New York at the time, you are warmly welcome to come along to the Premier Event.
